LICENSING... Sometimes it fits in an artist life, and sometimes not... I have looked and attempted it several times. Once it resulted in a question in my mind. Another time it resulted in a brush off..and another time, with heart break and anger. Why would I ever want to do this? Well, my ultimate goal is to write short fairy tales filled with Whimsies, that will entertain and help people escape into little magical places. I am hoping that my art is the first step. So here I go again... A Wizard of Oz Whimsie... by a licensed distributor...Who knows how this will turn out, but I will certainly keep you posted! Until next time..

Time Flies...
Happy Friday! I love Fridays whether I have a "real job" or not! ha.ha.ha. Unbelievable things have happened since my last post, and boy, I'd like to spill, BUT until it's firm and for sure... My lips are sealed! Let's just keep this ball with Wings ROLLING!
Here are my 2 latest Clocks, "A Charmed Life", and "Tommy Top Hat". Both Clocks end this Sunday, March 4th, at approx. 4:30 EST.. My link to my auctions is at left. I hope you will come by and peek.
Anyone have children that drive you nuts? If I end up with a full head of hair by June 15th, I will be shocked! God love him, but Lord, it's just one hurdle after another. There couldn't be a sweeter kid on this Earth, but I feel like I'm working with the "Nutty Professor"... He has his Sr. Seminar project due in a month, and lets just say.. he's about 25% done.. Forgot to turn in his cap & gown form, needs to finish a STate requirement, a Choir trip, a Drama trip, and work.. Lordy, I might keel... Throwing magic dust on him and my hair! Well, here are my clocks. Have a Great weekend!

Positive Affirmations!
Without HOPE, the human spirit just dies...Living in the NW, we go without sun for periods of time, and it really takes its toll on me during Winter and Spring. This week I listened to some great videos and did some positive affirmation work, and that is exactly what I needed to lift the "gray" from my day.
I also tried something totally new and made an "Artist Reel" with many of my favorite Whimsies. I've had the music selected for quite some time, but finally sat still long enough, and made it happen. I am impatiently waiting for it to upload, and when it's done, I will shout it loud!
I have 2 EBAY auctions ending tomorrow night, so please come on by... I will also be listing my HOPE painting and several Spring time Whimsie babies tomorrow. Until tomorrow...

This week has been so very strange. Filled with miscommunications, elation, dispair, and hope. I am so very lucky to be a person following their dreams, and I try to never forget it... I am always looking for ways to grow my business and myself as a person. Sometimes there are so many options that I get so confused, I do nothing... I've been searching and praying for a direction for the past 13 months, and although I don't know the answers, I feel I'm getting very close to the conclusion. Something Big is just around the corner...I can feel it... If you know my work, maybe you have a thought on what a Whimsie girl is to do... Leave me a comment. I'm really interested!

Friends & Family
It's been a tough couple of weeks for both of the above. No matter how many you have, you always have room for more.... As I have gotten older, I have found that you must hold your friends and family very tight, and always take the moment to express how much you love them. I would like there to be no doubts in how I feel!
Many of you know that I have a special partner here in Whimsieland and his name is Greg, or commonly known as "ELF". He has always been my partner with this adventure that I am on, and as of this week, we are even more joined at the hip! Elf's regular "day job" has been very slow and sporadic for the past 6 months. A new job is coming, but there will still be some room to help me more.... so Elf and I have agreed to expand Whimsieland with new designs, Website updates, and more sales. We've had our first "strategy meeting", and it makes me smile that he wants to be so involved. And being a man, he really needed some organization, so cleaning out commenced. (He even re-organized several areas, that just made more sense to him... I thought it was so sweet) I love him more than he will ever know!

January PFATT Marketplace Release: Well, things get a little exciting when it comes to artist "dead-lines"... Just ask anyone... It is nothing short of the Exorcist or as emotional as "It's a Wonderful Life"..depending on the moment. I spend way too much time agonizing over the details, especially when I am happy with the piece... "just don't mess this up now"... Finally, you give into the ticking clock and exclaim.."it's just got to to do"... run around take pictures...edit all the pictures...upload all the pictures... write a little something about each of your creations...then fall down! NEW BEGINNINGS: Happy NEW YEARS!!!! The whiteboard is washed clean and anything is possible! The holidays were so enjoyable, and the two week break... was FANTASTIC!! Now when I say two week break, I really don't take a total break from my work. (How can you not do something you love) I "piddle"... just doodle, play with little lonely projects waiting for me to finish, and try to organize! I did accomplish all of the above. I made promises and goals for myself, and really look forward to achieving ALL of them.. (no pressure..ha.ha.ha.) Here are a few of the promises I made... 1. Show the Whimsies to the World...(send them to visit magazine editors) 2. Find a quality Craft/Art show and exhibit. 3) Experiment with canvas, collage, and reproduction of the Whimsies. Where Dreams Have Wings

I am committed.... ha.ha.ha to keep up my BLOG!.... I am just getting the hang of this, so please bare with me. This week I have been finishing orders, and trying to finish my last Christmas Whimsies for EBAY. I will post some pictures here when I have them. My daughter, Jillian, will be dancing with Janet Jackson on the Billboard Music Awards this Monday, December 4th, 2006.... Thankfully, they are the opening act.

A new Adventure...BLOGGING
Hi everyone and welcome to CC's Whimsies' blog. My hopes for my blog are to keep you updated on what's happening in my art and life. I love to keep you a part of everything, so this is a perfect vehicle.
I will keep it simple for my first day, and will just give you a list of what is in process here at the workshop.... I currently have 3 pieces listed on EBAY.. Here's the link: http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZccswhimsiesQQhtZ-1 I just added the Snow Fairy Treasure box and will end on Sunday. I am quite smitten with her! In the studio I have a Frog doll, a Frog Fairy ornie, a Mr. Snow Man treasure box, snow baby ornies, Frost fairies, and 3 clocks.. a Creamy Santa, an Angel, and a Kissing Snowgirl. Of course all of these I am trying to work at once, just to make my A.D.D. more crazy. My hope is to finish all the above in the next week... Cross your fingers!
