For my Mom

Her wings drooped,
The tears flowed
As her heart ached in sorrow.
If only her Mom could remember,
Everything tomorrow.

This has been a very sad time in my life while I've been caretaking for my mom who is suffering from dementia. I keep seeing a little Whimsie covering her eyes as the river of tears surround her. Please pray for me and my mom that we find the best solution for her care going forward. I truly appreciate it!

Christy, I can only imagine how difficult it is. I worked with demetia patients for a long time, and it was always so hard on the families. You will be in my prayers, sweetie

Oh, Christy...Prayers ascending for your mother, and for you and your family as well. Having been through a similar situation with my grandmother (who lived with us for a bit) I know how heart wrenching this type of caregiving can be....You're in my thoughts.

It is always hardest on the caretaker. Please find solace in the fact that when the time comes that your Mom no longer remembers you, she will always have a special place for you in her heart.
