CC's Whimsies' Pay IT Forward FRIDAYS!!

Kids…. It’s TOUGH out THERE! I know this isn’t news to you, but it‘s just high time I said it! We are barraged with BAD NEWS and stress daily. At times, I would like to pull the curtains, build higher fences, and never pay attention to anything outside of these four walls for a very long time!

As a full-time artist and family caretaker I struggle with how I can “make a difference” through my art and daily life. Our family income is barely above the water line of poverty (LOL…sad but true), and my time is spent trying to create art and take care of those around me. This can no longer be an excuse! I must do better to be more aware of opportunities to make a difference….no matter how small!

I know my Whimsies bring smiles to the savaged hearts, and small moments of peace and hope to many. If you, or someone you know, needs a little reminder that you are thinking of them and that they matter, please leave a note here or on FACEBOOK, and I will contact you. I will send a little of my “heART” in your behalf or to you. I will do as many as I can each Friday, and hopefully, if we all think about a way that each of us can lift the wings of someone you know, or even a stranger, our World will be much brighter. Pay it Forward FRIDAYS… Lift the Wings of Another!!!

COUNTDOWN TO HALLOWEEN WORKSHOP

I am teaching my first Workshop this year in Chehalis, Washington, on Sunday, July 11th, from 9:30am to 5:00pm with Terri Brush. A sweetheart of a lady whom I've known for many years has invited me to teach. This one day ART Retreat will be held at Terri Brush's studio. A long time thought in my head that I have finally created just for this class! Each of you will create and complete a Halloween "Advent" Calendar for you and yours to enjoy for years to come. We will travel the Mixed Media map with techniques in sculpting with paper clay, painting with acrylics, and collage to produce something MAGICAL for your home. Handy supplies to bring with you would be collage papers, co-ordinating buttons, and if you have a favorite paint brush..... I will post a picture of your project when available. The Cost of this One Day Workshop is $140.00

Seats are already getting filled, so HURRY if you are interested in playing with me on July 11th... I've included a PAYPAL shopping button, for your convenience... Much happiness and peace to you! Christy

Well, It's been TOO LONG!

It's been a sad time and an end to a sad Chapter in my life..... I know that sounds pretty down, however it's ALL UP FROM HERE!!! I am soooooo ready to be rid of the constant stress and thoughts over the welfare of my Mom and her belongings, and I am almost there!

I have lots of exciting news and upcoming "UPPERS" in the coming months... First of which, ART CAMP this weekend with my hostess Terri Brush. Terri has assembled some very talented teachers and students from all around the country. I am so looking forward to this!

I do have a few more surprises up sleeves, but I will save that for next time. I would like to share one of my cuties that I just finished from my new jewelry line.. Drucella Dragonfly... Also here's a recent pic of my "puppy" Conan O' Meyers who is now 1 year old! Enjoy each day and love all around you!

A Special Tree for a Special Friend On Valentines

Tonight a very special friend will be honored in an EBAY auction in her honor... My Friend Penny McAllister has been struck with Acute Leukemia which was another "hit" to my Whimsie heart in December. All of the Pfatties on EBAY have joined together and made a tree fitting the Queen of Happiness... Please enjoy the slideshow, and please bid on our TRIBUTE to Penny...

November Pfatt Marketplace

Tonight at 9pm PST the PFATT Marketplace will be released, and what Whimsies will appear???? Well, Dancing Sugar Plum Fairies for your home and Christmas tree. They are very happy and bright... Just what the Dr. ordered!

My world is pretty jumbled now and hoping one day I will be able to look back thankfully that I LIVED through it. Thankfully, I have my husband and Elf, Greg, who is my rock and keeps pinning my wings on....even when they seem to blow away sometimes....

Vixen the Kissing Elf

The Winds of Whimsie have conjured a Magical Creature... VIXEN the Kissing Elf. She has her own beautiful stocking, but she could hold mistletoe over doorways for your own magical moments! Vixen is available on EBAY through Sunday evening at 8:30 EST CLICKHERE to bring some her Winter Magic to you!

CC's Whimsies 7th Birthday Celebration!

I'm celebrating CC's Whimsies 7th Birthday this month by re-creating a design that I started my business with oh, so long ago.... I've added my 7 years of experience and am offering a design with a retro price..... Design your Snow Family at the PFATT Marketplace and received a BIG discount from me...

My OPUS....

Please meet Harvey O. Hare... He is my OPUS! Harvey is the longest standing creation in CC's Whimsies' history....

I started Harvey over 4 years ago and he has patiently watched and wondered when he would get his chance, and finally, he has it! I would imagine that I have spent about 100 hours on Harvey and all of his "friends", and he really deserves a new home. To bid on Harvey Opus Hare... CLICK HERE

In addition to Harvey, I made a cool little Tombstone called "Trick or Treat"... I think you might enjoy his surprises.... CLICK HERE to see the Tombstone.

I have one or two more Halloween pieces and then I will wave goodbye to Halloween for a few months. I hope to sink my chomps into some pretty Winter creations which will be unveiled on the PFATT Marketplace on October 10th. Happy Everything!

Last Witch of Halloween 09

My sweet Hezbulah is my last Witch of Halloween 2009... She has a low reserve of $145 on EBAY, which is 50% below my asking price earlier this month over at the PFATT Marketplace. Her Auction ends tomorrow night, Sunday around 6:30EST.... Let's hope one of my bloggers give her a nice new home!!!

On EBAY now...

I'm working like the wind.... It's a good thing I remember to take a shower.. lol...
Winnie the Witch will end on Friday... Click HERE to go there...
Oh... then there is Sylvester the Halloween Shaker:

He ends on Sunday night..... Click HERE to see Sylvester...
There could be a very BIG guy appearing on Friday for a short run of 3 days... His name is HARVEY, and He is quite a Treat!

I'm in a WHIMSIE Tornado!

Queen of A.D.D., I have so many projects going at once, I'm never quite sure which ones will be finished first!!! No EBAY last week, as I felt that most people would be enjoying their last weekend of Summer.... It always makes me a little sad, as Jack just keeps growing up and soon the rains will come... waaaaaah!

Tonight the MARKETPLACE will be released, and I have ONE SCARY Whimsie being offered!!! In addition to my Hezabuh, I have Oliver the Owl Shaker, and Mr. Bones the Skeleton Mask. Oh, and because I can't hold a surprise very long... I will give you a sneaky peek!.... Click on the MARKETPLACE to go and give my "kids" a home!!!

Oh... here's further evidence that Autumn is here... My Cinderella pumpkin split on the vine... biggest cinderella that I've ever grown... well over 50 lbs and possibly 75... It's very purty! I will post pictures of my Conan baby.... He's almost 90 lbs now too... Everything is growing and moving along... Big Hugs!!!

As Promised... I'm BACK in the Groove!

Please Meet OTIS..... This darling guy ends on Friday night at 6:00 pm PST... He goes so well with his friend, Maxine the Manx kitty below.... She ends Sunday Evening at 6:43 pm PST...
Isn't she sweet.... She was trying to turn her friend OTIS into a prince, but only made it half way.....
Then there is this unusual creature.... A Frog Mask that will hang year around... You could even stuff things in his mouth that you could pull out... ie; ribbons, plastic bags, etc.....
TOAD-LY ends Sunday evening at 6:58 pm PST....
I'm working as quickly as I can, as I have so much ground to cover.... Let's hope all these visions in my brain make it to reality THIS Halloween, instead of waiting until next year....

So Much to Say....

I've really been tormented over what I'd like to write in my blog for weeks....as there is sooooooo much going on in my world. Sadly, not very positive and as much as I'd like to pour my heart out, I think it's just best to focus on the positive and just GET BACK TO WORK! So I've alerted all family members that unless you are on FIRE, please don't call me during studio time..(10am-3pm daily). For the most part, everyone is trying to conform to this regimen, but there are "violators" every now and then.. lol!

So my goal is set, and I will be listing on EBAY for Sunday and Friday evening closes until November 1st. The Moon Man Wand above ends Friday, August 21st around 6pm PST and the Pumpkin Shaker ends Sunday at the same time. Here is the link to my auctions. I hope you will visit and enjoy them. Thank you so much all!:

LOST TIME PHANTOM and My Time Nabber!

My newest creation, a full functioning Clock... "Lottie... The Lost Time Phantom".. She a full 25 inches long and is so Hauntingly, Tim Burton-like cool.... I love her! I hope you will stop on by my auctions and add her to your watch/favorites list!

Conan is growing like a pony and gains about 5 to 7 lbs a week!(as of last week he was 56 lbs). We were having his ears cropped, and he was "overdoing" so the tips were flipped....so back to bandages we went.... Poor Conan.... only a couple more days to go... I hope his ears will finally be free!
