Hello and Welcome to my journey of "STARTING OVER" with life, ART, and dreams. In the past 4 1/2 years I've lost my "rocks" (my dad and one of my best friends and muse, Penny), my mother and brother, and most importantly, the ability to DREAM.
Without the ability to dream, you find yourself adrift in the open sea, amidst a severe fog bank, and NO COMPASS!!! Yep, I'm totally LOST!!

In 371 days I will be turning 50 years old... As I realize this could be "mid-life" or "three quarters" of life, it also could be so much less than that... So it's time to scream CARPE DIEM and commit myself to finding my compass, and getting the hell out of this foggy sea!!!

I will be using this blog as a journal of my daily ponderings, giggles, frustrations, "happy happys", and my WINGS again. I hope you will stop on by every now and then to laugh, cry, have a cocktail, smack your computer, bitch, and ultimately see that you are NOT ALONE in this crazy world. So until tomorrow....

CARPE DIEM!!!

Christy...I'm so happy that you are going to be traveling away from the foggy sea. You can borrow my oars if you need as well as my shoulder. I understand exactly where you are I do believe. Tomorrow will be the 5 year mark since my "ROCK" passed...my Daddy. One month later my mom followed him. Five years is a long time for most things but not when trying to mend a broken heart and find your strength in this world.

I will be coming to visit with you as I'm a fellow whimsy myself. So proud of it too!!! Hope you will stop by and visit with me some too.

Hugs and thoughts for strength to start your new journey...you are not alone!!

I've experienced so much sadness and tragedy in the last two years...I completely understand. I also will be turning 50 in 128 days. Take my hand, my dear Whimsie Queen, and let's spread our wings together and soar to new magical heights!

Christy...I wish you well on your journey out of the fog. It comes a time in everyone lives that they lose a shoulder, a friend, or family. Remember you had those things...and still have memories. Draw on those memories to get your dreams back. I am a only child...when I lost my mother I was 21, I felt alone, I used my love of art then to work my way in to this wonderful world of art. Then as I came online over 11 years ago...my father passed. My world crumbled again. Now at age 60 I am at a crossroad as well as you are... I now have fibromyalgia and just had a hsyterectomy and my art has been on hold for the pass 6 months. So I know some of the pain and lost you are filling, but you do still have a family that loves you, they and your friends here online have your back. Imagination is in your heart ...and with your talent will always be there. Good luck my friend....You are one of the best !

I adore this song from Willy Wonka! Thanks for having it on your site. I look forward to seeing what wonderful things you will create from the world of your imagination as you come out of the fog!

My mom was 94 when she passed 18 months ago...we say to ourselves... it's good that they are in a better place and not suffering...so why does it throw everything so off kilter. I think we lose a piece of ourselves and just need a bit of time to readjust...not replace but find ourselves again with them gone. I look forward to joining you on your journey....

Cough, cough, I think the fog is lifting Christy!! I just passed the 56 marker last fall and I can honestly say that my 50s are some of my best years yet. Look forward to it Christy and embrace what the world has waiting for you. There are many of us out there ready and willing to put that air underneath your great big beautiful wings! It is time to soar!
